Our People

Barons Pub Company provides an inclusive culture, where we provide everyone with an equal opportunity to progress and succeed. We encourage all team members to fully participate in the professional training and development opportunities that all contribute to a successful and enriching career.

Our teams consist of individuals with varied backgrounds and levels of experience, welcoming team members from school through to university graduates and industry professionals. As a result of our training excellence, many of our people have grown throughout the business, experiencing new roles and new challenges. To hear some of their stories and the learning experiences they have had, we have asked them about their journey through Barons…

Claire Porter

Purchasing Manager

I graduated from college in 2012 and started my career with Barons as a part-time Waitress at The Cricketers. After having my first child, I returned to Barons as an Admin Assistant for the Managers at The Cricketers, supporting with the smooth running of the Pub. I then went off to have 2 more children before returning to my new role as a full-time Purchasing Manager. What I love most about this Company is the flexibility the Directors give to working parents – this progressive approach to staff having a work/life balance is rewarded with our commitment and loyalty.
